The Foundation of Equally Created is our values: Equality, Empathy, Education, Environment, and Empowerment.
When it comes to Equality, we pride ourselves in understanding that all people are created equal and we will treat each other with dignity and respect regardless of our differences. With Empathy, we are proud to say that we offer all children an opportunity to see and understand our unique differences; learn to appreciate them; and develop empathy at a young age. To create an atmosphere of equality and empathy, we are doing our best to make enrollment in Equally Created accessible to everyone—from ALL walks of life!
We are working with government funding for families who qualify and also offer a sliding scale for fees based on each family's salary. In addition, we grant scholarships to families who are working to get further assistance with their childcare fees.
An example of how our sliding scale works:
If we have a family that has applied for financial aid and they are only able to pay 40% of tuition that means the balance left is $195/ week; coming out to $780/month; and $10,140/year for the center to make up in fundraising efforts.
Alongside our main mission to create accessible childcare for all, we have a focus to cultivate a team of diverse and highly educated early childhood professionals that will set an example for our children. In order to hire the level of staff our children deserve; we have to be able to offer them a living wage as well as benefits for their families.
The vision of our center is "to make early childhood care accessible to ALL", therefore we do not have the same income as for-profit centers. Yet, to keep Equally Created open and running we will need the full tuition amounts to be able to continue to give each child who enters our doors the care they deserve. We feel our unique experience, highly educated teachers, and strong mission will change the landscape of how we see each other and our differences.
Your partnership will help offset the difference for hard-working families taking advantage of the sliding-scale tuition as well as, continue to be able to nurture these children in an environment where they are welcomed, loved, educated, and encouraged to be exactly who they were created to be.
