My name is Leslie Hanson and I am the founder and Executive Director of Equally Created. Equally Created was formed from a culmination of my life experience and my God-given purpose coming together. I graduated from college with a degree in early childhood education and planned to open my own childcare center. However, life led me down a different path, which I'm really grateful for, because I've learned a lot along the way. Not only have I worked with children in one way or another for my entire life; I’ve also had experience in understanding trauma and the impact our childhood settings can have on our ability to grow into thriving, successful adults. One of the things God has really opened my eyes to is the need for everyone, especially those being marginalized because of the color of their skin, to be given the same dignity, respect and opportunity that every created soul should have. I fully believe that children should be afforded the opportunity and privilege to see, meet and be friends with other children who are both alike and different than they are. To develop at an early age an appreciation for the uniqueness of how we are all created. To see that there is beauty in each soul and we are all truly EQUALLY CREATED. My hope for Equally Created is to provide a service to families that is so needed. And within meeting this need, we will love and nurture the children in our care to help them be the best individuals they can be.
